Hi everyone,
It's my turn to share a little creativity with you all. So let me do just that.
I've created a wee mini album combining papers from both of these Kaisercraft pads.
Warning, photo heavy.
Anyone that knows me well knows that I love creating with a colour combination of black and white and a little green and a little purple.
I started this wee project using two 4x4 flat canvas panel boards.
I grabbed a paintbrush and a bottle of Prima Colour Bloom and covered the front of both panels - a front and a back for my mini album.
Whilst waiting for the front canvas panel to dry I started cutting and tearing a selection of papers from both of the paper pads.
Using some gesso I adhered them to the canvas panel.
I randomly applied a little more gesso on the top of the papers.
When the gesso was dry I flicked a little 13 Arts pearl violet mist over the top.
Now it's time to embellish the front of the album.
Layer leaves, flowers, cheesecloth [muslin], pearls, tags, whatever you can find.
Adhere everything down.
Grab the gesso tub and tone it all down a little - randomly apply gesso until you are happy with the way it looks.
Now it's time to make the inside of the mini album.
Cut a strip of white cardstock 3 3/4" wide, 12 inches long.
Score at 3 3/4", 7 1/2", 11 1/4", leave the balance attached.
Cut another strip of white cardstock the same, this time trim at 11 1/4"
Score at 3 3/4", 7 1/2"
Fold like a concertina file.
Adhere 3/4" of cardstock underneath the start of the second strip.
You should now have one long continued piece of cardstock with six panels.
Cut six squares of black cardstock 3 1/2" square.
Cut a variety of six squares 3 1/4" square from your patterned papers.
Ink around edges with Prima black soot ink.
Cut a variety of tags, punch a variety of foliage pieces, grab a few flowers and start to embellish.
Here's a selection of what some of the inside pages look like.
Make little envelopes and tuck pieces of paper inside for notes.
Add pearls and cheesecloth [muslin].
Cut doilies, fold in half and adhere - tuck tags inside the flap.
I used two pieces of oyster coloured seam binding and sprayed them with Prima Color Bloom, crinkled them up and left them to dry naturally.
When they were dry I attached them to the inside [wrong side] of each canvas panel so they could tie on each side.
Using a strong adhesive, adhere the front and back of each end cardstock panel to each canvas.
Mini album standing.
Ready to tie together.
A little closer look at the front.
