Hey Uni friends!
This month for our BAP I am going to share I how I created this simple yet fun LO using our July Kit of the Month. I was asked to do a simple LO for a beginner scrapbooker I know who is just getting into using Mixed Media. So let's grab your coffee, tea or if you are like me, Pepsi, and follow along!!
I will apologize for the flash I had to use in the photos. My scraproom isn't very friendly for taking good photos!
Step 1.
Choose 3 sheets of coordinating paper. I chose 13 arts for my main background and Authentique for the others. Using the 13 Arts paper and Mask from the Kit, use Gesso (I used 13 Arts because it's my FAVE) to stencil all around your paper. Flip the mask sideways, upside down, etc. I didn't use the butterfly part of the stencil, but you sure can if you would like to!
Step 2.
Using Mist, randomly spritz your color and let drip. I used Dylusions Pink Bubblegum to match the Authentique Papers from the kit I will be using.
Step 3.
Distress the edges of your paper and adhere page to another sheet. I used a page from Authentique's Luster Collection that is included in the kit. Using fingers curl and manipulate around the edges.
Step 4
Taking another sheet of Authentique, I used my circle cutter and cut out several sizes. I will use the full circles and the outlines. Ink and Distress Edges. I used Ingvild Bolme Distresser and Chalk Ink in Vintage Pink
Step 5
Layer your circles and photo as shown. Adhere in place.
Add one more on the bottom left
Step 6
Add some of the cardstock stickers from the Authentique Pretty Details sheet.
Step 7
Grab your embellies!!! I am using Petaloo, Prima goodies and the Cheesecloth all from the July Kits!!
I wasn't sure what I wanted to use..so I just grabbed them all up and started to play!
Step 8.
Add some cheesecloth to your Petaloo Burlap Flowers. Glue your flowers and embellies down. Play around a bit until you like what you see!
Step 9
Using a White Pen Sharpie, add some detail around the circles.
To get a little bigger dots here and there I just pushed down on the tip a bit harder than usual.
A few close ups!
Easy peasy right??!! Now lets get creative!
