Hi everyone.
It's my turn to share a little creativity with you and show you something that you can create today - why ... cos it's Wednesday.
I'm thinking by now that you have know that I love to make easel cards and today I'm going to show you how to whip up a triple easel card and let me tell you ... it's easy peasy to put together.
This is my finished card.
and now we are going to break it down ...
I've used three different sized metal dies to get my three different sized cards.
I've folded my cardstock in half and scored it and placed it on top of one of my metal dies and by having a small overhang of the die, when it is cut, it remains intact [if that makes sense].
I then fold the top piece of my cardstock back in half - see the piece of cardstock with the double sided tape in the photo.
I use the same size metal die and cut out another piece of cardstock the same size.
Again I use that same die and then cut out two pieces of patterned paper.
You can see in the photo where I have adhered the pattern paper.
So now you do the same range of cut outs in all three different sizes.
Now unfortunately we have to miss show and tell of a photo
- why, because it is on my old computer and I can't retrieve it ...
the joys of technology ... grrrrhhhhh!!!
You can see in this photo two of the cards standing on their own.
I use double sided tape and adhere three strips of tape under the bottom of the card and adhere the base about an inch onto the top of the next sized card.
Joining the set of three cards together from front to back, smallest to largest.
So you can see how they are going to sit together.
Hopefully that makes sense.
So that when you join all three sections, they are staggered.
Once you have cut out a set of three different sized cards you will know what I mean, honest!
I join them up together before I start embellishing so that I know where and how they are going to look sitting as a trio.
A little closer look.
and the front of my card ...
And there you have it.
One triple easel card.
They really are relatively quick to put together
and they do have the 'wow' factor.
Happy creating everyone.
