I whipped up a tag recently and thought to myself, as you do, I will share the creating process and so here it is.
Photo heavy - you have been warned.
I've used a Prima canvas as my base and covered it with patterned paper ... easy peasy, I know, I know.
Distressed and inked the edges.
I've then grabbed a Leaky Shed Victorian Oval piece of chippie and OMG, I so love these with a passion ... and then I've used a shabby enamel embossing powder over the top ... and then adhered to my tag.
Here comes the compulsory muslin and string and for all you creative souls around the world,
muslin is our name for cheesecloth ...
A few leaves stuck down with a little more string ... no rhyme nor reason, just because.
okay, so then someone you know forgot to take a few more pics here for some reason.
Oops ...
But you can see that I have found a quote, inked and adhered and found a little pink peg and stuck that down too.
and then I've played really ... I found some flowers in my stash, a little more of that Leaky Shed chippie, some more muslin and some baubles. I've also used a Kaisercraft fairy die cut.
Then I've got busy with the hot glue gun.
A few close ups for detail ... that shabby embossing enamel is just gorgeous and look at that, it brings that chippie to life ... bea-u-ti-ful.
and then, well then you just have to add a butterfly [or two] and then you need to play with the gesso tube, cos it's still looking a little bit blah, well to me it is.
oops, one out of sequence ... i.e., before gesso ...
and then whilst in the process of making your tag, you decide that something is missing ...
BINGO ...
You need another layer ... another layer added completely to the back of the tag.
So you cut out a slightly bigger tag again than the base tag, distress, ink,
add a little mesh ribbon top and bottom and a few triangle banners.
and then you are done and dusted.
Voila !!!
And then, what do you do, you bundle up your tag and send it on its merry way - to brighten someone else's day.
Happy creating everyone.
