I thought with todays post I would cover a basic but importanmt rule - the visual triangle....to me this is one of the most important rules or theories in scrap booking. One of the easiest ways to improve the design of our pages and achieve a balanced overall look is to use the design principle of the visual triangle. The visual triangle helps to unite the elements on a page and pull them together, and also gives the eye a natural path on which to travel around the layout so that the viewer can take in all the elements one by one. Imagine laying a triangle across your page and at each corner place an element or cluster of elements.
Here are a couple of examples….
See how the first one intersects across the photo…. Keeping the readers eye on the photo
Now on the second one it is a larger triangle but the clusters still form a visual triangle
Now on the third example the photos create the visual triangle
Now here is my example following this rule and using the yummy Glitz papers found in the store
see how the three flower clusters brings your eye to the photo of my hubby being a bit of a goofball?
Hope you enjoyed this and have a wonderful day!
