I was soooo excited to finally get my hands on this gorgeous Graphic 45 Ladies Diary collection. It is soooo gorgeous. I love this photo of my Mom and her sister taken in Washing DC in 1942 and I thought it was just perfect for using with this G45 collection. and you know what is ever so cool, the Flying Unicorn has all of its G45 collections on sale now at 20% off their already great price! You definitely want to get on that! All the papers I have used are from the Ladies Dairy collection.
I did this as inspiration for a a challenge that Tammy has going on, to use 2 different border cuts and handmade flowers on a layout and a butterfly. You can see my tiny butterfly at the top of the stickpin I made.
I diecut the flowers from the Alterations Tattered Floral die using Tim Holtz's glassine paper and I confess, it is one of my favorite things, I use it all the time on vintage layouts. I brushed bronze Perfect Pearls powder on my flowers and then heat set with my heat gun to give them so sparkle, you can see in especially in the bottom photo.
