A big hello to you all and thank you for stopping by today.
Let me share a little creativity with you.
Today, it's all about circles and yes, this post is photo heavy.
Let me share with my wee mini album ... live, laugh, love!
Using Prima's Salvage District, throw in a little colour; teal, salmon pink and grey.
These circles are just under 5 inches in diameter.
You will need six circles in total to complete this project.
Adhere one circle to each piece of 6x6" patterned paper.
Trim around the edge with a pair of scissors and then sand the edges back.
Ink the edges with a black soot ink pad.
Cut strips of patterned paper.
Punch one edge using a lace doily edge punch.
Now pleat that lace doily edged strip with your finger tips.
Put double sided tape on the reverse side of the chippie/cardboard circle.
Remove tape and adhere pleating underneath and around the cardboard circle.
If you flip it back over this is what you will see.
Now apply additional adhesive all over your circle
- I use both double sided tape and liquid adhesive and adhere another covered circle.
A completed page of the mini album prior to embellishing.
This is your base - your template if you like.
Now we embellish ...
I've used three quotes to go with my live, laugh and love theme.
A quote on each mini album page, a frame, teal cotton, small teal flowers, salmon pink flowers and grey flowers,
a little cheesecloth [muslin], a few self adhesive resin embellishments.
Grab a paintbrush and your tub of gesso and randomly apply.
and the final page of the mini album
I have cut three pieces of eggshell seam binding,
sprayed Shimmerz Sea Monkey Vibez onto my craft mat and dragged them through the mist to colour.
I have used my heat gun to dry.
Who has time to wait for stuff to dry when they are in the middle of creating?
I've punched holes in the top left hand side of each page.
Looking back, I should have punches these holes before I started the embellishing process.
I've grabbed a metal ring and threaded it through and then tied
seam binding onto the ring between each page.
A few close ups - now you always knew that was going to happen.
and another one ...
perhaps another one ...
and one more ...
and just like that - voila ... all done
